Lol, I also started reading fanfiction at age 14, although this was in 2001 so it was mostly Backstreet Boys and NSYNC pornfic with a side of LET'S HURT AND KILL THESE BOYS lbr

Man I am so lucky to have had a mom that understood that 14 year olds are bundles of hormones and didn’t go into pearl clutchy spasms when I snuck in some tawdry romance novels at the library.

(I thought I was being so clever and subtle by getting the ones that had those vague covers with no illustrations and titles like ‘The Duke’ or w/e)

...i'm not a mom that goes into pearl clutchy spams lmao. i'm a person fully cognizant of the fact that there's a difference between romance novels (like i read when i was young) and porn in fanfic, which can definitely fuck up a young mind and ruin the way a person perceives what's healthy in regards to sexual behavior (especially when it comes to young women and consent). i was reading my mom's ridiculous harlequin shit at 9 years old and having no clue wtf they were on about lol. but i didn't get into fanfic until my 20s, and reading badly written, inaccurate trash that most people write could lead to some really painful choices for a 14 year old kid. if i had read that shit at 14? given the life i was leading and the lack of any real adults in my life and my shitty mental health? idk, porn in fanfic should not be read by 14 year old kids.

i'm not a mom that goes into pearl clutchy spams

ok. sorry you took it so personally (esp when my original comment wasn't to you and wasn't judging anyone, so your offense is weird to me and i'm very sorry for upsetting you). i didn't intend on triggering something in anyone, so i'm sorry. but i appreciate your outlook on my parenting lol. let me go consult my grown sons and see if they think ( ... )

I love Inception and always will! I saw it in cinemas 3 times and then saw it many more times on TV. I agree with the people that say that it's not impossible to understand or to figure out like a lot of people say, but I think it's a great movie and it's really well made. Unfortunately, it's the last Nolan's movie I've liked (I haven't seen Tenet yet). I hated Interstellar.
I wish Cillian had been the one who had gained more recognition for this movie instead of Tom Hardy, who hasn't learnt not to mumble when he acts yet. I guess being Leo's friend has its benefits (just take Jonah Hill).
