- Major League Baseball placed Roberto Alomar on it's ineligible list after reviewing a sexual misconduct allegation against him. He has been fired from his consultant position and can no longer/ever again work for the league office or any team in the majors or minors.
- An external law firm presented findings of an incident that happened in 2014 to the MLB commissioner who determined a violation of league policies occurred.
- The Toronto Blue Jays who Alomar played for from 1991-1995, where he helped them win back-to-back world series, have also severed ties with him. He can no longer work for them as a consultant due to ineligibility and The Jays will be removing his name from the Level of Excellence and will be removing his retired number banner at Roger's Center where they play.
- For some reason, he is still going to be in the MLB Hall of Fame?
- Alomar released a statement saying that "with the current social climate" he understands the MLB's decision and hopes one day he can address the allegations.
