After competitive bidding, Netflix has acquired the US rights to Gunpowder Milkshake, the action film starring Karen Gillan, Lena Headey, Angela Bassett and Michelle Yeoh and directed by Navot Papushado. The film takes place over the course of one night, and revolves around three generations of female assassins fighting to end a cycle of violence.
The film, produced by Studiocanal, will be distributed by Studiocanal and STX internationally, with a planned theatrical rollout. A sequel is already in the works, which is good news for franchise-hungry Netflix.

Glad there was competition for this, but I really hope Netflix puts it in theaters alongside the streaming release in the US!
