Sometimes you just need that one person to make you comfortable and bring you out of your shell.

BUT there's nothing wrong with being in a shell when you want to be, <3 to my fellow introverts and socially anxious people.

As an introvert the friends I treasure the most are extroverts who 'get' me while still being able to bring me out of my shell. It's rare to find people like that but I'm lucky to have them.

yes! shout out to my extrovert friend who helped me meet others through weekly knitting nights and regular board game nights at her house.

Oh that's awesome - any chance you can duplicate her and send her to Australia for me? ;)

mte, as an introvert who used to have a really bad social anxiety, i found that it helped to have someone "loosen" me up in social settings. i've gotten better at doing that myself and meeting people anywhere but who knows if i retained throughout the pandemic lol

I'm an introvert and I really like when extroverts adopt me. I had one friend just go "Hi we are friends now" and I was like "yea ok that seems fine thank you for your interest". I had no say in it and I love her so much.

I feel like that can be hit or miss. I had one of those & I ended up ghosting her because she came on too strong & made me super anxious as within a short time period I went from besties to life partner(one time she said when she marries she will make sure her husband buys a house big enough for me to live there too). She was really nice, a girls girl and very protective of me but it was soo overwhelming.
I have another extrovert friend who I met thru work, she is another but she has & respects boundaries so while she will kinda give me a hard time she also gets my personality so we get along. The funny thing is she also told me I should move into her house, I don't know why this keeps happening lol 😅

This is me 100%. I like being an introvert but I despise that I'm so shy. I wish I was naturally personable and conversation just happened so easily with anyone. Sometimes my social anxiety puts me too much in an isolated bubble so I love it when extroverted people look at me and decide we are now best friends. I need that push sometimes to help me find that comfort zone where being social is no longer difficult and I can go with the flow on my own. You know what I mean?

that's the only way I make friends. It's worked out very well for me so far, I have the loveliest friends.
