I miss this show and the era of my life it represents. Everything was so simple and I’ve never been to the west coast before and was curious if everyone lived like that
I don’t think I could rewatch it or listen to the podcast the nostalgia would hit me too hard then again here I am procrastinating on a dying Russian livejrounal community when I should be doing a PPT so I probably have time to deal with the sadness the nostalgia will inevitably bring

Omg I loved that time online i grew up
In Orange County and felt much like Seth Cohen but cus I was poor. Also felt like marissa cus parent neglect but I loved everyone eon the damn internet asking me if that’s what my life was like lol. Everyone though all of California was just a beautiful beach

I completely get this. When I watch The OC or Gossip Girl I feel so nostalgic for that time in my life it hurts. It’s like when the future was still The Future in capital letters and anything was possible, including dreaming of living in nyc or California and being rich and fabulous lol.

Exactly. And it didn’t feel so far away. Now it feels like that time and living in California in an environment like that is something from another world. I miss having hope and dreams lol and feeling like it might actually happen now knowing it won’t makes me sad but also it could never be the way I imagined it so

I appreciate Ben’s shyness and nervousness that he brought to the role. Garrett would’ve been good but he’s almost too gritty imo. He would’ve been an excellent Trey honestly.

Everyone’s having so much fun in the beginning. The reason season 3 sucks so much is you can tell the actors (especially Mischa, Adam, and Ben) are OVER it.
