In the interview with Fox New's Tammy Bruce, McGowen stated that she used to vote democrat but has changed her ways and now believes they're a cult similar to the one she was in as a child, Children of God.
She compares them to Children of God and says that Democrats are a propaganda machine.
Rose says she likes to leave Republicans alone because in her words "I do respect people more that are like, this is what we are, this is what we're about, this is what we're against. Whereas with Democrats, "I find the Democrats are really, pretty much almost against all the same things, they're against changing the world for the better, and they're for keeping a system in place that is for so few people and benefits so few, but they masquerade as the - as the helpers."
Questions their ability to make meaningful change and believes she was "persecuted and awakened" from being a Democrat.

If you don't want to watch the video Rose went to Twitter and posted two videos addressing the Fox interview. In the video she says:
"I did an interview on Fox News. That it causes such a cognitive dissonance, as someone who was when I set foot in America as a democrat because that's what my mother was umm never a question of Fox is the enemy and tonight they'll run with Rose McGowen says democrats are in a cult but I also said republicans were too. If you lean deep into anything and refuse to hear anything else and you're serving a master that there's no evidence is serving you. Then maybe you're in a cult and that was my message. I know both sides are so fucked and both sides are propagandist the fact that Fox NEws let someone like me on as a humanist that's trying to break shit down and help deprogram people from cults they're not aware they're in is pretty fucking extraordinary. All I want to do is spread the message that we're better than we have to be."
The irony of talking about propaganda on a channel that actively promotes conspiracy theories, whew.
