I can’t... this is campaign is clearly about countries that have not yet vaccinated even health workers... I understand saying that the right thing would be the patent release, as that would be a valid criticism at the campaign ... but THIS is not a good look

I truly don’t care. When wealthy countries are hoarding vaccines, won’t release patents and won’t even send raw materials to help, they deserve to be dragged and called out. It’s okay to exploit India for their cheap labor but not help them when they need it the most? Okay then.

This pandemic really exposed all these people. ONTD is typical like that.
Its obviously not gonna work like lets vaccinate all our millions of people, and then give the vaccines to global south?? People will die, they are already dying. Leaders needed to have planned this out, released patents to ensure vaccinations progressed in all countries. Fuck these people. I'm so fucking mad

I’m not sure if I was clear, but I was agreeing with you, lol. Like there is a criticism to be made about this campaign’s approach but it’s not EU countries “we don’t have enough for us” argument.

Thanks for clearing that up. There are so many "we need to do us first" takes that it genuinely enrages me that so many people could be so utterly selfish and tone deaf. India is currently the 2nd most populated country on Earth. This has consequences on EVERYONE. Also, it's the right fucking thing to do!

You mean the USA, where there's 45 million extra vaccines, which has already vaccinated more than half the population, but cannot send vaccines to poor countries because Trump forbid it on the contracts with the pharmaceuticals? Or another country?

Not only did Trump make it more difficult but Biden declined to send raw materials which is their #1 need.

I think its important to fault BOTH party lines (obvs Trump is a complete dumbass)... but now its like 'what's Biden's excuse...'

Sorry for assuming you were from the USA. The whole vaccine issue has shown how bad some called rich countries are doing, like Italy and France.

It's ok. Her tweets really irritated me, since the situation here is still quite bad (things are going really slow and recently it sounded like there wouldn't be enough vaccines for a second dose for lots of people).
