as much as I love PEN15 most of the time it is just too cringey to watch

The way I am STRUGGLING through the last few eps would say I agree with you, lol. It's honest and relatable, but hard to watch for the same reasons.

I really didn't like the lactation gag during the last season.

Normally I cannot handle cringey secondhand embarrassment stuff, but for some reason it was totally fine in PEN15... up until that lactation bit. I turned the show off and didn't finish after that. I'll probably keep watching because it is very relevant to me as someone who is the same age as the actresses and was about that awkward myself in middle school, but that was super rough.
