Probably unpopular opinion but I hate how I met your mother and do not understand how it’s comparable to friends when I find it 0% funny

I thought Why women kill was quite good. Actually very good.

Same. I watched the first 2 seasons as background noise, but I don't remember laughing at anything beyond a sensible chuckle. Robin was the most likeable character to me and maybe Marshall, but the rest of them were annoying. Even the assholes of Always Sunny are somehow more relatable and likeable than these nice-ish HIMYM characters somehow.

Exactly. I liked some clips from Friends but I could never get into like everyone else did.

My bff loves Friends but I never got into it back in the day. I mean, I get why it's popular and it's not like I hate it, I'm just supremely meh about it.

That's basically my feeling. It's overhyped to me. Especially when there were much better shows out during that time.

First two seasons were good but then it sank lower and lower. After S4 it was trash.

I think it's entertaining at times.. and less corny than Friends. I used to love Friends but tried to watch a clip the other day and couldn't get through it.. I guess my taste just changed.

Also, I do find Josh Radnor attractive.. so I probably wouldn't watch HIMYM otherwise tbh. I can't stand Barney.. he's one of the most annoying characters on ANY sitcom.

Despite being questionable, Friends had a lot of charisma, which made people think it was a lot funnier than it actually was. HIMYM has zero charisma, one of the female leads is annoying as fuck and the 3 male leads are insufferable. The fact that they tried to sell Chicken Little as a womanizer is ridiculous too, Joey was at least hot.
