i've come around on them but some part of me is still mad lawrence is even around. i didn't want the show to be about THEM or their romance. i wanted issa to move away from that relationship fully. but you know TV shows...

It's so fucking dumb. They pretty much goaded the audience into wanting them as endgame. If he hadn't been in the show as much, the audience wouldn't have as much of an investment in their relationship. They should've just let him (and all the other guys she wasn't involved with) fuck off while they weren't actually together and focused more on the friendships between the girls. That was one thing SATC did right. When Carrie wasn't in a scene with Mr. Big or whoever her flavor of the week was, we didn't see them in meetings or on dates with other women. As for Insecure, I feel like we've seen Lawrence more than we've seen Molly. We've certainly seen him more than Kelly and Tiffany! Prentice Penny sucks donkey balls

during season 2 i kept saying to myself "why are we still seeing HIM? i don't care about his job or the new woman he's sleeping with or him getting fit or any of that shit". unless it impacts issa or molly i do not CARE.

i really wish the show had done more to make kelly and tiffany full supporting characters. i feel like we see them so infrequently and when we do, outside of tiffany's PPD (which was handled in the laziest fashion), they're very much so stuck in their roles.

I feeeeeeel u. I was grinding hustling so hard in the days of Issa doing ABG and did every intern job, went to every mixer, writers program, kissing everyones ass, and omg what a miserable time of my life. Admitting to myself I couldn't play the game anymore, no matter how much I wanted it to work, and leaving the game was sooo freeing and i'm so much happier now tbh. But it's bittersweet seeing Issa thrive on the other side, love to see it!
