My friends and I always go see them opening night. They're so ridiculous but we love them. Same with the Rock's action movies. You just have to embrace how stupid it is without being grotesquely violent.

part of the fun is trying to guess what corny line comes next. whenever i get it right i'm so excited and will tell people "it's because i'm a genius!" "it's because i wrote it!" it cracks me up and they're just fun and ridiculous. i don't take them as anything else
