Kim Potter, the police veteran with 26 years on the force who murdered 20-year-old Daunte Wright at a routine traffic stop, has resigned. So has Tim Gannon, head of the Brooklyn Center police.
Today is also the day when Derek Chauvin's defense begins its side. Tensions are high in Minnesota, where curfew is currently in place in place for several Minnesota cities.

Daunte Wright’s killing was not a random, disconnected “accident” - it was the repeated outcome of an indefensible system that grants impunity for state violence, rewards it w/ endlessly growing budgets at the cost of community investment, & targets those who question that order.

Officer Kim Potter is a 26 year Police veteran.
She is the union rep for her local police union.
She was training another officer during the time of the incident.

Daunte Wright was 20 years old, out driving with his girlfriend in his new car.
MN cops pulled him over because he had an air freshener on his rearview mirror- moments later he was shot and killed.
Meanwhile white mass shooters are consistently arrested unscathed.
