It's crazy because birth control has much higher rates of blood clots and nobody bats an eye.

I think a lot of men have no idea the risk of blood clots that comes with hormonal birth control. It's just something that is expected of women to deal with.

honestly probably a lot of women as well. i know it was not really discussed with me when i went on birth control, and when i asked my doctor about it they really minimized it.

I mean, it's definitely still a small risk. But like... blood clots from hormonal birth control is a bigger risk than blood clots from the J&J vaccine and no one seems to really care about that?

But it's a different rare type of blood cloth. We had that argument a few weeks ago with AZ.
Apparently according to medical professionals in Germany you should not compare these types of blood cloths with the ones in the foot.
