Hey I'm sorry to go off topic. It's just that ONTD always helps make me feel better when I'm struggling and right now I'm like... really bad ( ... )

Well, that's scary and horrifying. Especially if the whole reason is because of not wanting to wake the baby. I'm kind of sad thinking that the mother isn't terribly shocked and is trying to rationalize why this is okay. It's absolutely unhinged behavior, and I'm sorry it left you feeling that way.

sounds like an abusive home waiting to happen or in the process of it. They did the right thing.

I’m so glad you left!! If he went off that crazy on a harmless delivery man, it was only a matter of time until he went off on you, the person caring for his child. I swear to God nannies have to deal with the most toxic shit! I hope you find a safer family to work for ❤️

I am so sorry this happened to you. That must have been really scary and you absolutely did the right thing. Please take it easy, maybe you could watch a comfort tv show or movie tonight if you are able to? Sending you hugs and hope you’ll feel better soon! ❤️

You absolutely made the right decision. You’re working in the home essentially alone with this person and at a very fundamental level you need to feel safe. I have an 11 month old and yes it could have been sleep deprivation or PPD or just being trapped in a house with a baby in a pandemic, but it also could be a ragaholic who could eventually lash out at you. You can’t know until it’s too late so better to be safe than sorry.
