Janet Jackson to sell over 1,000 personal items in celebrity auction

Over 1,000 items from Janet Jackson will be available during a three day auction taking place next month, on May 14, 15 and 16 in Los Angeles. Among the items for sale are Jackson's wedding dress from her 1991 marriage to dancer René Elizondo Jr., her Rhythm Nation jacket, and the famous silver hoop earring adorned with a hanging key. She is also selling her outfit from the Scream video where she duetted with her creepy brother. The collection with be on display at the Hard Rock Cafe in London on April 19 for five days before being transferred to the US for the auction. A portion of the sales will benefit Compassion International, "a global child-advocacy ministry that partners with churches around the world to release children from spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty."
