I actually think stans are worst sometimes cause it’s all fake and performative.

I don’t have much problem separating artists from fans but I do agree that egging them like a few other artists *taylor* is not cool 😒

Yeah I grew up in that time period too. As much as I do enjoy social media I do miss that 4th wall.

Fans have always been entitled but social media has really given some people the idea that their voices and thoughts matter and are important…they’re not. Some are but a lot aren’t.

The demand for celebs to perfect is all bs. It’s just for stan superiority…no one really cares offline.

Yeah the mystique and allure is kinda gone which is interesting in a way but blah for escapism.

It’s also today’s lack of a-list powerhouse among other things.

I do miss how celebs were a little pr-loose back then.

Nowadays there’s a lot of walking on eggshells if they’re aware of the internet.

Obvs there’s some celebs like Lana who don’t care and welcome the unrest 🙃🥴😂

Mhmm yep! You're right a site wouldn't exist without the unabashed messiness of those types of celebs.

See Gaga was successful because at the time NO ONE was doing anything! She was right place, right time. Most of the heavy-hitter had been quiet and it was filler bands/musicians taking up space. She brought back excitement to the mainstream!
