This tweet has the same energy as the cringey posts on my linkedin feed. I thought it was supposed to be a ~professional networking site

I used to work at LinkedIn, it's the fucking worst; maybe not as bad as Facebook. But they are actually finally trying to do a better job moderating content on the site.

They're censoring black people who speak out against racism. Prolific professors about racism of have been banned. A ton of people have to use alternate spellings and images to get the point across because the mods are just as fragile as the white man who lives in bumfuck arkansas or los angeles who thinks reverse racism is real.

I did say it was the worst, lol. I didn't say they were doing a good job, I said they were finally trying to do something. Have they swung to far in the opposite direction, yeppers.

Wow. I rarely ever use it, I almost forget it exists. I had no idea they were censoring people. But unfortunately I’m not the least bit surprised. I fucking hate people!

LinkedIn is also super fucking creepy about your contacts too. I joined years ago and let it scan my email address, then deleted my account and started a new one several years later. It quickly figured out who I was and suggested all these random people from my previous account. It also shows me people by the same name as friends who don't have LinkedIn. My law school made me feel like it was a necessity as an ~online presence but I really dislike how invasive it is.

I haaaate LinkedIn. When I graduated, it was still sort of a new thing and of course all of the recruiters were going on about how easy it is, but something about it just seems next-level voyeuristic.

LinkedIn is fucked. At least with FB if I delete a suggested friend I don't have them pop up again, but LinkedIn keeps bringing up the same woman who used to bully me as a suggested connection no matter how many times I delete it.

I agree. Years ago it suggested to me a person whom I do not want to have contact with, and have no common connections with, and I closed my account for that reason. I’ll never have a linked in.

Oh Jesus. It does?! I’ve totally looked up peoples pages even though I don’t have it myself. 😬

When I used to have it it used to say who looked me up in emails :/. Hopefully if you do it without an account it somehow doesn't know your identity 😂

Adjust your settings so that people don’t see your name when you’ve looked at their profile. You need to be anonymous or just have it show your industry. It’s an easy fix. Otherwise yeah, if you’re looking at peoples profiles they’ll be able to see that when they go look at who’s viewed their profile.

Oh, I don’t have an account on there. I just opened safari and googled their LinkedIn’s because I was bored/impressed and feeling a bit nosey. Haha.
