Apparently Chloe Fineman Is A Scientologist

With the 2015 music video 'Neurotology,' SNL poked fun at #Scientology while also making reference to its very serious scandals. So imagine our surprise when we learned that just four years later SNL hired a Scientologist cast member!

The obsession with scientology. I just don't get it. We don't do this with people who are religious, calling them out, and it's basically the same thing. The scientology folklore is too young I guess

Yeah no, Scientology doesn’t get to play the religious freedom card when it was invented by a science fiction writer, harasses people they don’t like to the point that they have an entire branch dedicated to making peoples lives miserable and will fully endanger the health of its members by denouncing medical treatments like antidepressants.
That’s not even getting started on the literal slave labor they run on.
Everyone there is complicit in a culture of abuse.

I wanted to say all this but didn't know how to phrase it, you said it better than I could. Not to mention that most religions do NOT require you to disassociate with members who leave the church or harass members who leave. Most religions also don't have official, church-sanctioned campaigns of harassment, endangerment, and law-breaking (although members of the church can often do these things in the name of the religion).

This just confirms the fact that you like most of ontd know nothing about the main religions of the world, most are atheists were very lucky to have grown up in western countries where the biggest religion is a very weakened Christianity, so you continue to think it's all love and peace and stuff.

Apostasy is sometimes punishable by death in some religious sects, and yes depending on the behavior of the loved ones, the religious congregation will ask you to disassociate from them.

Wow, that's sad. I feel bad for people who were raised in Scientology (which it seems like she was since her parents are Scientologists?) because it must be so hard to get out. You'll never talk to your family again.
