Holy shit, remembering she died is fucking with me. I wanted her and some of the others to be more successful. And uh. . . I don't like how Tina was put in the background from the episodes I saw. And how fucking Leah, Miranda whatever that child's name was, the annoying one with the two dads. I LOATHE how they made her happen for a bit before her attitude brought her back down to earth. And those tears when people called her out. I sucked them up like water.

I loved Tina so much (still do) and am so mad at how they totally wasted her character.

plus her singing ability. How you gonna give the people with zero singing ability ALL the songs and you have this trained Broadway singer do nothing.

Well, pairing her off with a character that barely got any dialogue for two seasons didn’t help her much...abandoning her planned story arc in S2 because RM had a shiny new plaything didn’t help her much... my friend’s sibling was approached to be a writer on the show and could have done so many great things with it but RIB apparently thought they were too “intense” or something and it never happened.

It was a love triangle storyline addressing the breakup. In the beginning, it would be more about Artie and him getting his shit together (it should have been equally about both of them, but you know RIB), but once that happened and he redeemed himself, they could have been a powerhouse vocal duo. Harry Shum doesn’t have a bad voice, but when he actually got songs it wasn’t because his voice is good or because it moved the story along (except for that one episode about Mike), it was because his fans wanted it. They kept Tina with Mike because they didn’t want to write for either of them, and figured people wouldn’t care that Tina’s personality was just “sobbing” because Mike is gorgeous (that gorgeousness got him excused from a number of slip-ups that would have gotten most other characters except maybe RM’s precious Blaine raked over the coals). I hate the fact that unless you’re Rachel Berry, your screen time was influenced by the pairing you’re in, but that’s Glee for you.
