Saw French Exit a while back and enjoyed it and all of its weird, dry humor, but I bet a lot of people will absolutely hate it, lol.
We watched The Assistant earlier this week - so good, and an excellent film companion to the Scott Rudin article from yesterday. Really looking forward to seeing more from writer/director Kitty Green. I already knew Julia Garner was talented, but she was so restrained and great in this, and Matthew MacFadyen was perfectly cast.
Last night, continued the MCU watch with Spider-Man: Homecoming, which we'd seen once before. Tom Holland is a great Spider-Man, and even though parts of the movie were a little slow, I really liked that they emphasize the fact that he's a normal teen. Comparing the high schools in this and Euphoria is somewhat inevitable with the Zendaya connection, and also hilarious.
Tonight, we're gonna watch Miss Juneteenth, and then I'm gonna vote for the Indie Spirit Awards. I didn't get to all of the categories - I never do - but maybe next year!

Maybe give Kitty Green for best first screenplay for The Assistant 😅
