We're not getting it in my country until June - so it looks like I'll have to...ahem...watch it another way.

i'll probably watch thunder force bc it's on netflix and i'll definitely watch the pulse since i've been craving a good period horror movie.

i watched breaking news in yuba county yesterday and it wasn't good. i don't get how such a fun premise and good cast could be in such a bad movie but it is what it is. also some of the casting was really weird.

The description for Moffie reminds me of Kanarie, though it looks a bit darker.

I really wish Melissa McCarthy would stop doing movies with her husband. I might give it a shot bc I like the leads and love Bobby Cannavale, but I am not expecting anything.

Saw French Exit a while back and enjoyed it and all of its weird, dry humor, but I bet a lot of people will absolutely hate it, lol.

We watched The Assistant earlier this week - so good, and an excellent film companion to the Scott Rudin article from yesterday. Really looking forward to seeing more from writer/director Kitty Green. I already knew Julia Garner was talented, but she was so restrained and great in this, and Matthew MacFadyen was perfectly cast.

Last night, continued the MCU watch with Spider-Man: Homecoming, which we'd seen once before. Tom Holland is a great Spider-Man, and even though parts of the movie were a little slow, I really liked that they emphasize the fact that he's a normal teen. Comparing the high schools in this and Euphoria is somewhat inevitable with the Zendaya connection, and also hilarious.

Tonight, we're gonna watch Miss ( ... )

The quickest way to get me disinterested in a Melissa McCarthy movie is seeing her husband wrote it. I don't get how he can write such painfully unfunny roles for her!

There are a couple I am on the fence about, and I have til tomorrow afternoon to finalize, but right now I think my ballot is gonna be:

Best Feature: Never Rarely Sometimes Always
Best Director: Chloé Zhao
Best Screenplay: Eliza Hittman
Best Female Lead: Nicole Beharie
Best Male Lead: Riz Ahmed
Best Supporting Female: Yuh-Jung Youn
Best Supporting Male: Paul Raci

and I'm a flop and didn't see all of the movies in any other category, lol.
