After previously revealing that he's part of the LGBTQ community, Ronen has come out as bisexual in an interview with Variety. He came to this realization because of his role on the show. He was a bit fearful at first because of rampant homophobia in high school (he's from Staten Island). Because of the fans of the show, he's ready to fully embrace himself.
Girlfriend Jessica Parker Kennedy encouraged him to be vocal about it and is supportive, telling him that she loves him and to live his truth. He wanted to do the Variety interview to help struggling queer youth.
