Hollywood Reporter Further Exposes Joss Whedon and Geoff Johns' World of Racism and Intimidation

- While Zack Snyder understood the importance of helming a black superhero, Ray Fisher came to feel that he had "to explain some of the most basic points of what would be offensive to the Black community" to Joss Whedon. Whedon sent out an email asking for questions, comments or "fulsome praise" of the major script changes, but Fisher says it became clear: "All he was looking for was the fulsome praise."
- Whedon allegedly pushed Gal Gadot to record lines she didn't like and threatened to harm her career. "Joss told [Gal] he can make her look incredibly stupid in this movie." Whedon also allegedly told Gadot that "he’s the writer and she’s going to shut up and say the lines."
- Regé-Jean Page auditioned for the role of Superman's grandfather in Syfy’s Krypton series but Geoff Johns, who was overseeing the project, allegedly said Superman could not have a Black grandfather. The creators also wanted to make one superhero character, Adam Strange, gay or bisexual. But sources say Johns vetoed the idea.

- Whedon also openly disparaged Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins.
- Katherine Forrest, a former federal judge who conducted the WarnerMedia probe, told the Hollywood Reporter in a statement that in interviews with more than 80 witnesses, she found "no credible support for claims of racial animus" or racial "insensitivity." Whedon declined to comment.
