Click to view"If you've been on the internet you've probably witnessed how intense and devoted some fans can become whether it's on tumblr, tik tok, twitter or instagram, and these can be fans of anything or anyone really, but when it comes to toxic fans in today's video we're focusing on "shippers" who ship singers that they believe are in undercover relationships with each other. Today we're looking at a specific type of shipper, the toxic kind lol. The "ships" we'll be focusing on today are Larry Stylinson which is a ship name for Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson previously from One Direction as well as Camren which is the name for Camila Cabello and Lauren Jaregui's ship, previously from Fifth Harmony.
So we'll be doing a bit of an internet deep dive if you will.. looking at the general idea of shipping: what it is, why it's appealing for people etc as well as exploring the internet history behind the Larry Stylinson and Camren ships specifically because I think they're quite unique considering they aren't a ship that involves fictional characters... they're real people and also because they've lasted so long even though both One Direction and Fifth Harmony have been disbanded for years now. I also feel like some areas of their fanbases are good examples of shipping gone too far or turned toxic in the effort of proving their ship is "real"." - Casey Aonso
