The show brought back a live studio audience last night for the first time since march 2020
Footage showed that the audience was made up of small groups, all of them with masks and Fallon and Andy Cohen (guest star) later said the audience was just 58 people:
“I’ve never been so excited to do a show for 58 people in my entire life,” Fallon said. “After last year, this is like performing at a sold-out Madison Square Garden.”
He also said that the audience was made up of vaccinated first responders and health care workers and that the case was going to be the same for the whole week , he also thanked them for their services during the pandemic.
