#Oscars producers say no Zoom calls: "We are going to great lengths to provide a safe and enjoyable evening for all of you in person, as well as for all the millions of film fans around the world, and we feel the virtual thing will diminish those efforts." https://t.co/pSO2D5svCh

The Academy released a letter breaking down what rules attendees/nominees/presenters at this year's Oscars have to adhere to. Here's a breakdown -

-- No zoom appearances; everyone who's going to be a part of the show will be in there person. The Oscars are taking place in two LA locations - Union Station and the DOLBY Theatre.
-- Sounds like all the nominees will be pre-recording short videos about what the noms mean to them (and maybe aired during the show?)
-- They're treating the Oscars like "an active movie set" - COVID testing on site, quarantine plans for those traveling in advance, etc
-- Give a whole bunch of rules on how winners should say their acceptance speeches??? "Make it PERSONAL" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-- Regarding dress code: "formal is totally cool if you want to go there, but casual is really not," so no sweats or jeans, nominees!
