I have been watching kathleen turner and michael douglas movies (romancing the stone, the jewel of the nile and the war of roses) and I had no idea how fantastic of an actress kathleen turner is. The war of roses is brilliant. Like they don’t hold back and some of the subtle choices each actor makes is great. Danny devito’s direction is great and omg I hate michael douglas’ character so much. Such a narcissistic, insidious man

War of the Roses is a modern classic imho. In terms of the vastly underrated Kathleen Turner, I also recommend Body Heat and Serial Mom, if you haven't seen those.

I was just about to rec Serial Mom. I know she's done more prestigious, award-worthy performances but that's her magnum opus to me.

The War of the Roses is so underrated. Please watch Serial Mom and Peggy Sue Got Married-- two of her best!
