'Garbage Pail Kids SHAMMY Awards are back' with racist and violent BTS illustration

. @Topps Can you explain why you chose to illustrate BTS in this way? The other artists you’ve included have no depiction of violence in their illustrations. Why did this get green-lit? https://t.co/BAVYlvOpKO pic.twitter.com/I4tukzTofg

In another incredible example of poor timing Topps released Grammy-Themed Garbage Pail Kids of BTS Bruisers getting beaten by a Grammy Award, in a game of Bopping Kpop. Taylor Swift, Megan Thee Stallion, Harry Styles, Billie Eilish and other artists are also part of the SHAMMY Awards illustrations, but without the violence.

Billboard made a post about the release and deleted the BTS mention after the fans asked for explanations.

They know. They had a sentence describing the image in the article that they now deleted. pic.twitter.com/9cwfxxZaQH

BTS fans have been trending #RacismIsNotComedy since the post.
