I'm in Ireland and she is massive over here and has a massive fan base. Kind of shocked she isn't big in Europe? She had pretty big sales there so maybe her fans are more silent there?

She definitely has some fans in continental Europe but the GP doesnt really care. Her biggest hit here is that song from 50 Shades with Zayn and her solo stuff rarely does anything. She also hasn't toured continental Europe in years, despite being a big touring act in the UK and Ireland.

But honestly, Cardigan had NO reach whatsoever, so they're all delusional. Exile is a really great song, but it wasn't a single and nobody knew about it. I do think that Folklore deserved AOTY, because while Future Nostalgia was a great album full of bops, Folklore fit 2020 better. Anyway, FN got best pop vocal (which I agree with) so all is well tbh.

Record of the year was such a joke tho, should've gone to Megan. Billie stays awkward!

edit: also all of this was possible solely bc Blinding Lights was not nominated. In reality, Blinding Lights should've taken record of the year (possibly song too), and Weeknd should've won an album award as well. Maybe not AOTY, but whatever genre the album was in.

Future Nostalgia should have won, period. And they did The Weeknd dirty as well. Also Billie Eyelash? That song was bad.
At least I can be happy for Megan and Beyoncé.

I prefer the original Savage and I think it should’ve won tbh. I know the label probably pushed the remix version but even sites like pitchfork praised the remix more and it gives me Beyoncé’s J Balvin remix teas
