Same! It's a small town so of course they would've hung out with each other at some point.
It's honestly a missed opportunity to not add the parents' and grandparents' POV into the narration roster especially now that everyone on the show is an adult. The show's juggling everyone pretty well this season but they could've given us more intrigue and character-plot development if they went the GoT route and gave us insight into each household/storyline through different POVs as the plots progress. Give us that biased perspective, and that unreliable narration. Even better if every household gets a different hommage to film genres since Riverdale showrunners love that sort of thing. The show is called Riverdale, not Archie and Friends.
Granted something like that is probably a lot more difficult to organize given the pandemic, but man... imagine all the intersecting storylines someone like Sheriff Keller or investigative journalist Alice Cooper could bring.
