They graduated from undergrad last year and are now doing their masters! (Male idols use education as a way to delay enlistment so you’ll see most of them doing degrees)

That rule changed a while ago. It’s no longer usable for enlistment delay.

That used to be the case but I think they got rid of it about 2 (?) years ago. Around the time of that dude from CN Blue Yonghwa enlisted.

I thought it used to be used to extend their enlistment past the age of 28, and that's what got stopped, but was still used to ensure they don't get called early. Otherwise why are idols continuing to get masters degrees with the little time they have? I dnno, enlistment rules are confusing as fuck.

I say this as an Asian but most (not all) parents of us Asian kids in my experience want us to do a Bachelors degree at minimum and a Masters if we can. I am guessing it’s a bit similar in Korea too?
