I just finished Crazy Ex Girlfriend, opposed to Vanishing of the Bees - still an hour left and hoping for some hopeful uptake.

Think I'm going to start the second season of Queen Sugar soon, and finally watch A Sun.

lol, I somehow still haven't watched the final season of CEG, even though I liked the show a lot!

same with Broad City, now that I think about it - I still have like four episodes of that left, but that was more intentional - I didn't feel like crying @ the ending.

i watched The Black Church documentary from henry louis gates jr. on pbs and it was soooo good. i just love the joy he brings to history i would love to take one of his classes but alas i didn't go to harvard.

The United States vs Billie Holiday is soooooo bad. I’ve seen people say that Andra Days acting makes it worth a watch, but honestly no, it’s not.

SAME. I couldn’t believe how bad it was. I kept checking the time to see if it would be over soon. Longest two hours of my life.

eta: there was that one plot line in particular that I couldn’t believe anyone thought was a good idea and I’m interested to see what other people will say about it once they’ve seen it

Hmm, to me it always came off a little Lifetime type move based off the trailers, and I think Andra was miscast, and now hearing this sort of cements my lack of interest in watching it. Which is strange, since I love anything to do with Billie, and the story the film is about is so rich. I wish Audra McDonald had reprised her Billie, and that an auteur with less soap opera feel, and visual flair would have directed.

Aklsdklwdk this movie istg. I watched it because the poster took me back to the video rental store days... I never rented it, but it was always there. T_T
