Today in "Bring back my girls" news, after being more or less discontinued 2 years ago after their first reboot, Mattel, Nickelodeon, and Viacom are bringing back Monster High.
So this is not the first time they've attempted a Live action thing - Face-Off (a show) had an episode where makeup artists attempted to bring them to life (Didn't go great)., and a live action movie was supposed to be released by Universal in I think 2016.
Luckily, only the movie is live action (Though I expect it to look jank), and the show is animated. No word on if they'll keep that ^ style.
