I'm Swedish on my mom's side so my grandfather was Gus, from Gustaf, and virtually every male relative had Gustaf as one of many middle names. Gus is definitely a cranky old white man. I like Gustavo, but Gus/Gustaf are just not phonetically pleasing. August is cute.
