part of it was his agent, other part of it was that he needed a break after fury. he was on his way up and that was a good project but filming was super tough for him because ayer and shia are assholes he got ptsd so he took a break and focused on chill indie movies for a few years

I was happy to see him in Shirley - hopefully he gets more opportunities to be in other projects of that calibre with such amazing actors. His role was more to the side than the other three and less showy but he was good.
