I said this in ffaf: loved the show a lot, it got incredibly painfully bad at the end. Also it’s way too soon. The corpse that is this show isn’t even cold yet.

Agreed! I wonder if they're trying to capitalize on the void left by Mind Hunter now, since we know it's all but cancelled.

That is one thing I’ve always really enjoyed about shows like Criminal Minds is...the mind? I think it is interesting to see how or why and less on ...the end?

Obligated to write that if/when they reboot this to make it less white, less female violence...

Yes! I'd like to see more of the case-of-the-week format from the early seasons, rather than the long, drawn out storylines with one unlikely killer targeting and torturing the team.

Yes! I hated that. I mean I don’t want a police procedural at all unless it is about how policeman are shitty and get brought to justice....but that might hurt because it isn’t reality.

I just think the psychology of it all is fascinating. Prodigal Son sort of scratches that itch? I had a friend who worked in forensic psychology and it seemed so interesting?? I love trying to understand what makes people tick....even though (to my knowledge) profiling is not necessarily that accurate? idk. It’s the same reason I love astrology? It doesn’t really predict anything but it’s a cool guide and something to contemplate

I love Prodigal Son for how campy Sheen plays the "crazed-serial killer genius." But it would be nice to have a show that's about profiling, solving cases, etc without it being just another procedural. I don't know how CBS strikes that balance though.

It kind of reminds me of the hallmark movie about a guy finding lost letters and delivering them but he could also solve crime. Like a framed B99 in the post office like we wanted

I also liked the premise and early episodes of The Blacklist. A criminal mastermind trying to take down other criminal masterminds. With snark.

Yes! It’s gotten absurd at this point but I loved it

Yes! Honestly, just get rid of Liz and let Red hunt down criminals and build his empire. But a "Criminal Minds" that utilized an actual "criminal mind" could be interesting, rather than making it cop-focused.

idk, i don't think mindhunter and criminal minds had the same audience. criminal minds is very much the kind of show where you don't have to keep up with it in order to enjoy it (i'd watch a couple of episodes when it was on tv in the past). you miss an ep of mindhunter and it gets difficult to keep up imo

Yeah, CM is much heavier on the procedural than the psychological thriller aspect
