Was it this book where the pads were worn with belts or was it the Alice books, anyone else read those?

Ok apparently there are a ton of Alice books now lol, I think the last one I read was Alice in April or the one after.

I think it was, I remember reading it in 6th grade and being like “wtf” when she described the belt that went with the pad lol

Yes, pads with belts is a thing in this book, lol

yes but i believe they modified that as new editions of the book came out bc that eventually wasn't a thing and did not make sense to 90s kids for example lol

It didn’t make sense to 80s kids. I was born in 83 and started my period at 9 and we were at stick on pads. I was stressing thinking I’d need belts.

oh i know lmao that's just when i read it and was similarly very confused. i know at least by the 1986 edition they changed it to adhesive pads. when i say 90s kids i mean people who grew up in the 90s not people who were born in the 90s.

I remember being terrified to eventually get my period after reading this book, because of the whole belt thing lol

Alice was my girl! Dead parent, growing up in Maryland, hilarious antics with her friends, her meddling ass trying to get her dad to date her teacher...I felt that. Idk why her brother being a ho with two gfs was a plot point.

I remember reading about the pad with the belt and being very confused. Also, the bust exercises lol.

I own every single one of the Alice books lol. And they were all good (to me at least) except a later one where they go on a cruise ship. Anyone who was into the books should at least read the final one where they go all the way to their 60s. It was a pretty satisfying ending.

I started rereading the very last one yesterday! It's so nostalgically cute-sad.
