A fourth NCIS spin-off set in Hawaii (that would be filmed there) is currently in the works and nearing a series order at CBS.

Meanwhile, the flagship show is potentially nearing a renewal for season nineteen but Mark Harmon's contract is up this season, and he's reportedly planning on leaving. CBS is thinking of ending the show without him and when Mark heard this, he began conversations about returning for a handful of episodes next season.
