BTS is doing a collab with Back Number on single Film Out, to be released in april. It will be the theme song for movie Signal. Jungkook wrote the song with Back Number and you can hear a snipet (and a 20 seconds interview) here:

I laughed at Jimin saying he just lets out sounds but it is concerning that they don't have a plan on how to care for their voices. This is what we need to write an email to BH about tbh

Their lack of care for the boys voices has pretty much damaged them beyond repair now, it makes me so angry. Jimin a voice compared to how it was at debut is shocking.

yeah they completely messed up by not giving them proper vocal coaches at the beginning who could teach them techniques. a lot of fans try to hype them up as these incredible live singers, and they were really good at the start, but the past two or three years it's gotten worse..... and obviously it coincides with their excessive use of autotune.

Even with proper vocal coaching they would be struggling in the end. Last 2-3 years Big Hit worked them to the bone with their world tours. The voice needs proper rest which they didn't get until last year. You can't tour like them for years and not suffer from throat tissue damage. The more they perform, the rest they need to give to their voice increase. And they never stop even when they're not on tour because they film all the time fan content.
I mean yes they need more technique (like they really really do) but they're not your average artist who release 1 album every 2-3 years and can take care of their voice. They're in this competitive machinery that is K-pop where taking a long rest means another group will take your spot.

I agree with everything you said Millie! Whilst BTS' voices aren't horrible, even with the proper vocal technique, they still won't be able to reach their full potential without the right amount of rest. They're constantly filming and recording, so I have no idea when they actually do get the time to rest. Their voices have gotten so strained over the years and I'm sure there is some vocal damage.

I am always baffled at the fans who try to hype BTS up as the BEST singers in kpop and how they are the top vocalists of SK. Yes, BTS is definitely the top BG by far, but BTS' vocal line has neither the range nor the technique to be considered the best. They should have gotten vocal coaches years ago. I understand they didn't have them at debut because of the financial issues and so on, but when they started getting more popular then they could have made that a bigger priority especially since their songs started getting more vocal focused than rap focused. I saw an article that says that Taehyung, Jin and Jungkook have the same vocal coach as TWICE and Kang Daniel but it doesn't seem like Jimin is doing any vocal training - which is unfortunate because I think he's the one who could use it the most since he tends to strain a lot. The overuse of autotune in their songs isn't helping matters either. At this point, their best bet is to pitch songs in their natural range but to also give their voices some rest.
