Yup, I'm glad I have autoplay for videos disabled on Twitter (where I learned about this) so I still haven't watched it and I won't.

OP you might want to add a TW?

here's some of what the community is actually doing to help:

If you’re in the Bay and are witnessing the violence against (elderly) Asian folks in our community, here are community-initiated ways to support that don’t involve an increase in policing that we know will fail us (and our Black community). Police don’t keep us safe: we do. pic.twitter.com/ABu9we1WJi

and the black bay area has started a gofundme to support the victims' medical expenses: https://www.gofundme.com/f/victims-of-violent-crimes-in-the-bay-area

Thank you for sharing, bb. The discourse that erupts when there is violence among POC is always disheartening and I'm glad to see some bold actions of solidarity.

What the fuck is wrong with someone that they would violently attack 91 year old man like that?

i truly don't understand the mindset behind assaulting an elderly person. like i know this situation particularly is just racism but how much of a fucking scumbag do you have to be to knock over a 90 year old? how little of a moral compass do you have to have to set an old lady's clothes on fire?

Yeah I’ve heard about this and am not watching the video (too damn depressing). The other videos were like that before with some people in open public calling slurs towards the elder dude (I think it was posted here before too!), it was horrible. So this is getting really aggravating. It’s bad in LA and the OC must’ve gotten bad too. It is disheartening and soulcrushing
