She glued the hair to her head. I don't think the hair that's going to grow beneath the glue layer is going to be able to break through. At this point she just needs to go to a hospital.
Yeah, I immediately touched my head/hair when I saw what she did, it's so awful.
She could use alcohol or acetone as the other user suggested but honestly it could also just worsen the situation, especially since she said her hair has been like this for a month.
Based on what little I remember of chemistry, she'll need some kind of organic solvent to remove it. So rubbing alcohol or acetone, and even then those might only "loosen" it, not remove it. But it might loosen enough to at least shave or cut the affected hair off.
I spent so much of my day yesterday thinking about this. Apparently people were suggesting she was confusing Gorilla Glue for Gorilla Snot, but I have never even heard of Gorilla Snot.
idk because it's easy to mix things up if they have similar names and you're not paying attention or doing something on autopilot? People buy wrong items with similar names all the time.
Someone tweeted about something similar with Gorilla Snot/Gorilla Glue yesterday.
I remember I told a lady to grab some gorilla snot for her baby hairs on her lace, & she bought gorilla glue 🥴 Luckily her daughter checked w/ me first cause babyyyy 😂 https://t.co/4AGxHUWIFk - ✨ashley✨ (@AlluredByAsh) February 4, 2021
but how do you go from the hair product isle to the literal hardware isle and think its ok? at most glue is sold by the counter, still faaaar away from schwarzkopf?
Girl idk, why do you think I've spent so much time thinking about this? I said upthread that I had never even heard of Gorilla Snot before all this. I have no idea how she got herself in this situation. The last update I saw was a picture of her at the hospital though, so hopefully she gets it resolved soon and with minimal hair or scalp damage.
This woman put gorilla glue in her hair and now it’s stuck in this one style 😭 pic.twitter.com/521Yv95eYc
