I'm glad she wasn't abused.

Me too. And also glad she and Rose were like “I wasn’t abused but I support the women who were.” I wish Dita had said that more directly like Rose did but still, at least she didn’t pull a Vanessa Paradis and defend him altogether

I don't really see any real support here for Evan though. her statement reads very generic platitudes about abuse but I feel she still sees Evan as "the other woman"

Rose's statement was more genuine and unambiguously supportive of Evan.

I mean yeah IA, it sucks that our bar is so low that my first thought is, "At least she didn't defend him." I'm so jaded from the Johnny Depp shit tbh

Yeah I mean it's dumb if she still views Evan as "the other woman" like she was 19 and groomed by him Dita, let it go. If it wasn't her it would've been someone else.

why are trying to force women to forgive other women for cheating with past husbands? especially after evan literally stole all of her looks and started to dress like her immediately

the idea that dita is a bad person because she still doesn’t like evan is such bullshit. she has never said a bad word about her, just cold indifference when asked about her. but apparently that’s mean rme.

being neutral is never enough for any woman, we have to be performative and always remember our true feelings don’t matter. what’s more important are the optics of other people thinking we are “bitter” exes and everyone thinking we love every single woman on earth, no matter the personal history 🙄

Sorry I feel that an adult should be able to look back with some perspective that her shitty ex groomed a 19 year old and then started forcing her to dress and act a certain way along with other abusive behavior.

I don’t see how that’s performative. I also never said she was a bad person.

Idk if you’re just projecting or what but this is a very weird and hostile take.

Additionally, when a man cheats it’s usually not about the other woman at all. He’s just a selfish prick which is more than obvious now. That’s why I said if it wasn’t Evan it would’ve been someone else.

Evan's made it clear in her accounts that becoming Dita Jr. was part of her grooming from Brian.

I sort of get it, though. Marilyn didn't cheat on Rose with Evan. Plus I think Dita also embodies a lot of the "the past was better when women were dainty" vibe beyond just the visual aesthetic.
