February 2, 2021 OK campers, rise and shine, and don't forget your booties cause its cold out there!
That's right, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow which means 6 more weeks of winter!
Turn on your location, Phil. I just wanna talk.
According to tradition, which dates back to 1887, Phil, the groundhog, emerges from his temporary home named Gobbler's Knob (🤔) on February 2nd and if he sees his own shadow and goes back into his little home - then there will be six more weeks of winter. If he does not go back in his home, then spring will be here early!
UPDATE:
I was just informed that America's hat, Canada also has their own tradition!
HOWEVER
Wiarton Willie from Ontario has predicted that
(pause for dramatic effect)
Spring will arrive early!!!!!
UPDATED: Ontario's Wiarton Willie did not see its shadow on Groundhog Day and is predicting an early spring for 2021.
