After Kesha dropped a few teasers over the last couple of days on Twitter and Instagram, her new collaboration with DJ Sam Feldt was released today. In the description of the video, Feldt says that Kesha approached him with the idea for the track, and the song is about new beginnings and becoming a stronger person through challenging times.

I can definitely understand that. It took me a bit to get used to the Rainbow and High Road albums for sure, and I prefer the former more. But the Animal album is always going to be my favorite of hers tbh.

"rainbow" was the last album of hers that I totally fucked with so I feel you. I can't tell if it's that I have memories to her older albums or if the music has gone down in quality but idk... as a stan, I'm happy she's expressing herself but that comes at the cost of a cohesive vision for the album. I feel like she's a rare case where a little bit of pressure from the label helped her distill her vision into something more playable. though I do enjoy her weirdness, I miss the pop touch of her past work.

I love that she doesn't always cover her freckles. It really gives inspiration to people like myself who have them. I don't have a lot, but I definitely have some and I always feel a little awkward when people are looking RIGHT at me talking. (Not that that's happened since quarantine, but you know what I mean)
