It has been a while since I watched it tbh but didn't the receptionists (?) from the first (and maybe second?) season of the Mindy Project also just disappear, never to be mentioned again??

I didn't watch the whole series, but I remember that Mindy had female friends in the first episodes and then they all disappeared.

yeah i didn't mind Gwen or Mindy's other outside of work friends disappearing but I really liked both Betsy and Shauna, the show would have benefited from keeping them
