It is weird that Ben disappears in Friends, it would've been a really cute storyline to have him interact with Emma.

which, it's always been weird to me that phoebe never brought up frank or the second family her father abandoned when she met him and he gave that weak excuse

I can see Phoebe not wanting anything to do with them.

Both of them abondoned her and she had this awful upbringing resulting in her being a homeless teenager.

She knows them and that’s enough. But she’s succeeded despite them and she’s happy with her friends and husband.
