You can see the spark of excitement in the commentator's eyes as they talk about this like they're discussing the latest funny gossip. It's disgusting.

The more I think about it, the more wary I grow of the documentary.

I would be shocked if they didn't interview the assholes that started the hashtag and showed themselves to be fame hungry af

I'm sure it will get ppl in her side, but this must all be so dehumanizing for her.

Fuck her parents forever and ever, amen.

Not E! slamming the media for its treatment of Britney when I'm pretty sure they've been just as vicious (if not towards her, then towards other celebs)

E! news was a huge part of the media circus campaign in 2007

Wasn't/isn't TMZ on that damn channel? Pretty sure it was, at least at one point, where I live in Canada. Not 100% sure though, because I avoided that show like the plague.

It's so uncomfortable watching the way Britney is being used as a go-to soundbite forwith random celebs, interviewers bringing her up apropos nothing so they can attach her name to the story. Like... these media outlets haven't learned a damn thing. They hunted her into this situation in the first place, and are now just dressing up the way they use her for clickbait as concern.

It's such a vile thing to do, to any human being, really. Vile.

I know E! isn't talking like they didn't report on every move Britney made back then.

Also, this reminds me that I HATE when a celebrity dies of an overdose or has a mental breakdown and there will be documentaries where a relative of the celeb or a journalist will be like "you, the audience, killed this person." I read this book about Chris Farley and his friend was like "you guys killed Chris by laughing at his antics on SNL" and it's like, what??? I didn't kill him by laughing at him in the movies that he made.
