lol I remember not liking Christina during this era because she was snarky and starting too many one-sided fights with the other pop girls (while presenting a feminist theme in her music)

But regardless I did give her credit for taking her career into her own hands and doing what she wanted.

Same. I always like Dirrty but as for her personally she always rubbed me the wrong way with her seemingly poor attitude (tho maybe it was a result of the backlash, idk) but she did seem to be getting or instigating quite a few fights with various people. But at least she got take control of the reins and do what she wanted as opposed to churning out another Britney sounding album

I'm a stan. I also acknowledge she wasn't the nicest at the height of her popularity (quite a few second-hand, but reliable accounts). It's been a while since I heard anything though so I hope she's better now.

Same and that's how i felt about Pink too, i hated her stupid girls song.

Yep Pink was a total brat! I never liked Stupid Girls cause I thought it was mean-spirited to make fun of mary-kate olsen's eating disorders or Lindsday Lohan driving around drunk.

Also Pink herself knew of the industry's tendency to make female artists into something they're not but chose to take shots at girls instead of the actual industry itself. Stay bitter.

Xtina was a Mean Girl™ and 100% threatened by the fact that despite having an amazing voice, she'd always be compared to Britney. She had an inferiority complex, treated a lot of people badly and it sort of became a self-fulfilling prophecy. I've liked her music at times but her personality has always been shit.

Yeah I know the media set up the Britney vs Christina but I always thought it was dumb of her to feed into it.

She's chilled out now but every now and then I do think to myself if there is some bitter resentment at the fact that despite having the best voice of her peers, Britney and Beyonce both eclipsed in fame and legacy.

Her music is solid but I feel like her attitude and taking too long in-between each album was her error.

Beyonce's voice is better than Christina's though.

Beyonce has a nice voice but she's not beating out Christina. Christina from jump has gotten compared to the likes of Whitney, Mariah, and Celine which places her in a highly regarded group.

Beyonce hasn't exactly had that comparison.

Hmm Beyonce most definitely does beat out Christina, she has the range and her voice is healthy and stronger. I also have definitely heard her compared to the league of Whitney, Mariah and Celine? Christina has not taken care of her voice and it shows, if anything she has lost her spot being compared to those women.

Hmm idk Christina can still belt it out better than most. She may have lost popularity over the years but give her the right comeback and she's back on that pedestal.

Her belting is screechy at best these days and she always oversings, it's not pleasant.

Compared to what is out there now, I’ll take Christina’s oversinging any day. She wipes the floor with all of them.
