California's, please explain in n out.

Why are yall obsessed when it's not good?

I tried the burger and monster fries and it was so disappointing 😞

As a Californian, I have no explanation for in n out. I think the burgers are pretty good, especially for fast food, but the fries are disgusting and no one can convince me otherwise. There is no part of the meal that is worth the ridiculous lines.

For a $2 burger, it's good compared to other drive-thru fast food burgers (not including those sit-down places like Five Guys). It's nice, neat, compact, and tastes fresh. I think people are expecting too much from it bc of the hype.

I also always order my fries well done.

honestly most of the the appeal of in n out is that it’s cheap and open late so it’s a fun place to go go when you’re bored with your friends late at night or after a party or something lmao but even still i personally really enjoy the way the food tastes without those types of memories attached

Do you mean animal fries? Yeah, the burgers aren't the best, but they are fresh, they haven't been sitting there for an hour before you walk in. All the ingredients are fresh and it makes a difference, especially for the price. Quick, easy and cheap. Hard to wrong.

I'm not from the west coast but I LOVE In n out and crave it constantly. We go to AZ every year (my husband used to live there so we stay with friends) and the first thing we do when we land is get In n out.

As a non-native California resident, its only about the burgers. They aren't amazing, but they're good. simple ingredients, cheap without skimping on quality of food. Now their fries?? Absolute trash. They get cold as soon as you open the bag. They have the audacity to melt american cheese on it and then put sauce on it and then you're expected to eat it with a fork. Whole plate comes up.

Now Shake shack?? Thats a better choice.

Ty! Yeah, fries are important to me so I was disappointed at the audacity to put a slice of unmelted cheese on top

God I can’t imagine that because every in n out I’ve been to has been so horribly busy

But maybe you don’t care if you’re a teenager with friends instead of a cranky adult lol

If it's beloved for the price, I'd rather drag my ass to McDonald's for the dollar menu

As someone who frequently vacations in California (prior to Covid), In N Out is always disappointing. Never understood the hype when The Habit is literally right there.
