Is he really? I never used to like him because he just has that fuckboi vibe, but then you always hear all these stories about what a nice person he is in real life, so I’d kind of come around to him a bit. But I haven’t heard anything about this. :-/

He used to fuck around a lot and have a lottttt of casual sex back in the day, but since his sons were born and he got sober finally and when to rehab in 2005, and got his shit together, he's been relatively lowkey and changed his ways.

But before that when he was on every kind of drug under the sun and boozing and just a mess, he was for sure a massive serial dater. Obvs we don't know the ins and outs of all his many dates and hookups, but there's no evidence that he's a 'sex pest', now or in the past.

Dame Eileen Atkins has talked on Jonathan Ross about it, and it's been in the newspapers plenty, how back in 2006 whilst filming Ask The Dust they had drinks at the hotel bar, then later she went off to bed upstairs and he knocked on her door 10 mins later (he did say he was going to, didn't just turn up randomly) and she invited him in platonically, and he was coming on to her but she wasn't interested and then he offered to read her book to her, started talking about Oliver Stone for some ungodly reason, and they were talking for an hour or so. From what she said he was keen and DTF, and was fullblown trying to seduce her, but he wasn't being a 'sex pest'. They're still friendly, and he went to see her in a play some time after.

He wasn't 'knocking on her hotel door and spending hours begging for sex'. From her lips the story is a lotttt less malevolent than that.

I'm not downplaying any of it, i'm merely responding to the events as she told them and in the way in which she interprets them from her POV, which is a lot less malevolent than how you are insinuating.

Defs not excusing it overall as it's still messy af behaviour and he fully admits that he WAS a goddamn mess back in those days whilst he was still on the booze and the drugs, and doing all kinds of stupid reckless idiotic disrespectful shit before going to rehab and getting clean. Even if I stan modern day Colin, the Colin of years past remains a hot mess at the best of times.
